What is Remind?
Remind is a helpful “platform that supports communication and learning wherever it happens.” Users can “join” a channel and get updates on events, programs, or important information via text or app notifications. For example, if you have a teen and you’re interested in library programs that promote learning, art, and social connection, you can “join” the BPL Teen class. When we have upcoming opportunities for teens, you’ll get a notification reminder with everything you need to know.
Who is Remind For?
Remind is for anyone who doesn’t want to miss out on all the great programs and events your local library has to offer! You can subscribe to the messages you want to receive, and skip the ones that aren’t relevant to you. That way, you won’t be bombarded with incoming messages that aren’t meaningful to YOU.
How Do I Sign Up?
It’s easy to get started! And you can choose to interact with Remind in the way that best fits your life. There are three ways to connect:
- On the app
- On the Remind website
- By text
Decide which method is most convenient for you and see below for instructions on each.
Choose Your Interest
You can sign up to receive notifications in 5 different “Classes.” Choose your area of interest below and enter the Class code when you sign up.
BPL Info
For anyone who wants to be informed on library news and special happenings.
You’ll receive: General info, announcements, upcoming event details, etc.

Early Learners
For newborns through Pre-K.
You’ll receive: Story Time notifications, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten info, & more!
Class code: @bpl-el
BPL Kids
For children ages 6 – 12.
You’ll receive: Messages about our new Makers program, Reading Challenges, & more!
Class code: @bpl-kids
BPL Teens
For teens and parents of teens to keep up with the many opportinities we have for this age group.
You’ll receive: Notifications on Anime Club (one of our more popular programs!), Teen Talk, Game Night, Teen DIY, and so much more!

BPL Adults
For adults who enjoy BPL’s wide variety of library programs, cultural offerings, and events. Are you looking for art/craft activities? Entertainment? History? Local interests? This is for you!
You’ll receive: Timely notifications on monthly programs like Craft Club, Yarn Club, Coffee Club, and Language Exchange. PLUS, a heads-up on the different events we have planned throughout the year.

3 Ways to Connect with Remind
1. On the App
Download the Remind App. Navigate to Add Class > Join existing class (under the menu bar). Type in the Class Code (from above).
2. Website
Go to remind.com and create an account. Then, Add Class > Join existing class, and type in the Class Code (from above).
3. By Text
Text the Class Code (example: @bpl-teens) to 81010 and follow the text prompts to complete setup.
