• This 45-minute presentation introduces the basic jargon and concepts of investing in stocks. Angela Lannen, who retired from a career in finance, is a volunteer director of the Louisiana/Mississippi Chapter of Better Investing, a nonprofit, volunteer-based, member-driven organization whose mission is investment education. Learn what terms like P/E ratio and EPS mean, and how to apply them to determine if a stock is a good investment. Learn the basic guidelines for identifying a good stock to purchase.
