Did you know that BPL has programs at each of our branches?
The Merryville, South Beauregard, and West Central (Singer) branches have three programs per month. Each is designed to enrich the lives of Beauregard Parish residents and are always free!
For adults: Craft Club! Our Craft Clubs are geared towards adults but teens are usually able to do the craft/activity as well. Previous crafts include: DIY Cement Planters, Various Wall Art, Monster Books, and more! If you’d like to go to Craft Club but are unable to get away from your kiddos, bring them with you!
For the teens/tweens, the rural branches have Teen DIY, where teens have a chance to turn some of the coolest trends into their own project! (This month teens are making “sushi” out of an assortment of candy! Next month: Bath Bombs!) With adult guidance, big kids are more than welcome to come check out Teen DIY.
Story Time at the rural branches is for the littles that are not yet in school as well as our young home-schooled children. Build those early literacy skills that prepare your kids for school and a lifetime of learning!
And our newest program: Makers! Makers is meant for all the young, curious minds out there! School-aged children can craft, experiment, and explore the world around them in an environment that teaches your children to love learning. Currently, our Makers series only occurs in DeRidder (the first and third Thursdays at 4PM!) but look out for rural programs coming later in 2023!
