A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in our 2024 Summer Reading Program! We had so much fun and made a ton of wonderful memories along the way. Here’s your final reminder to claim those prizes if you haven’t already! They will be leaving for good on Friday, September 13, so grab them while you can.
Now that summer’s over and school has officially started, we’re working hard on preparing our programs and events for this fall! And we have some truly awesome news. We’re bringing you all NEW programs for almost every age group! Check out our lineup below with descriptions!
Story Time, our much beloved program for early readers and their families! Each story time includes stories, songs, snacks, crafts, and oodles of learning! Sometimes Mrs. Jeanien will dance along with the kids, and sometimes they’ll play a game! It all depends on the stories and the energy the kids have that day.
Makers is designed for school-aged children in grades 1st-5th! 
Each Makers we explore a different region of the S.T.R.E.A.M. universe and make, craft, or design a project the kids get to take home! The sky is the limit with this program, as there are no wrong answers, no incorrect designs, and only an increased love of learning!
Discovery Depot is made for middle grade students with a thirst for discovery. This *new* program is designed to foster creativity, facilitate exploration, and to feed young minds in new and interesting ways! Join us every second Thursday as we discover something new and grow our imagination!
Craftopia
is our other new middle-grade program, made to really work on building creative skills and having fun doing it! Join us every fourth Thursday at 4:30 PM for a new craft! There’s no telling what we’ll be making month-to-month, but one thing is for sure: it’ll be cute, it’ll be yours, and it’ll be going home with you! We hope you’re excited, because we sure are!
Teen Whatever may sound like a mystery – and that’s because it is one! Who knows what we may be doing each month – because it’s a toss up for us as well! Whether it be games, art, doodling, science-y stuff, or just eating snacks, we’re sure it’ll be fun. Come join us the first Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM and see what’s happening this month!
Teen DIY,
on the other hand, is much more predictable – but no less fun! We draw inspiration from what’s trending these days – (very demure, very mindful, we know!) – and turn it into crafts for you to enjoy! Teen DIY will occur on the third Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM. We hope to see you there!
Arts a la Carte (formerly Craft Club) is another more ambiguous program! We could be painting or building or sculpting or coloring or crafting or…. you get the picture. Adults are sure to have fun and make connections at this monthly program on the first Saturday of the month! Join us for a great time.
Stitching Hour (
formerly Yarn Club) is a patron favorite. Crocheting is our chosen fiber art, and every month we theme the project to a new or recent holiday or event. We provide the supplies and the pattern, you provide the conversation! We’d love to have you join us the third Friday of every month at 11 AM in our cozy chairs!
This fall is full of both leisurely and educational events – including our annual Booregard on Thursday, October 31 from 4-6, and our volunteer public defender Deven Thompson, who offers free legal consult on the second Wednesday from 4-6. We’ll even have super special story times in October, November, and December, so keep an eye on our calendar!
