Hey there, Teens! Here are some upcoming free programs made just for you! These programs are available at our DeRidder location.
For Science Club, on the second Thursday at 6PM, we’ll take some common household items and build a working heart model to learn how the heart pumps.
Our Teen DIY program is not only available at our DeRidder branch, but it’s available at each branch! Check out our online calendar here for respective dates. This month for Teen DIY we’ll be making paracord bracelets! Choose from an assortment of colors and we’ll teach you a simple braiding pattern. Game Night this month will be a Valentine themed Minute-to-Win-It style game! Who can stack conversation hearts the tallest in one minute? As always, prizes will be awarded! Game Night will be on the 4th Friday at 6PM.
We’ll have a Teen Movie Night this month since February has 5 Thursdays! Come out to the DeRidder branch at 5PM to watch Five Nights at Freddy’s! Also, we have our monthly Cinema Saturday which is every 2nd Saturday that’s for all ages. We’ll be watching Gnomeo & Juliet this month.
If you’re still in need of volunteer hours, don’t forget about Youth Library Council! We only have 4 meetings left so come out and help the programming department pack grab-n-go kits or help straighten up the teen room. Remember: YLC looks *great* on college applications! Attending is setting yourself up for success in the future!
