Teen Talk

This program is strictly for teens ages 16-19.
Teens! This is your time to relax and connect in a safe space.
Do you need to get some things off your chest? Do you just want an outlet to complain about life or discuss today’s events? Come on out to Teen Talk! You’ll have the chance to talk about these things and more while you color, doodle, or even just chill.
Our special community guest in February is Amanda Martinez, APRN, FNP-C, with the Beauregard Health Unit! If you have health concerns, from mental health to body image, Amanda will be here to talk with you about it.
Please keep in mind this event is strictly for teens above 16 years of age. Topics may not be appropriate for teens younger than 16 years of age, and therefore they will not be permitted to attend. They can, however, browse our collection in our teen room until Game Night begins at 6:00 PM!
DISCLAIMER: Beauregard Parish Library staff and community attendees are not therapists and are therefore not licensed to provide therapy sessions to attending teens. We are offering teens a space to talk about their issues and can refer them to counselors should the need arise.
