Overdose Prevention and Narcan Training Presentation

Join us at the DeRidder Branch for a presentation by Melissa Stainback, Regional Opioid Coordinator of Imperial Calcasieu! Melissa will be doing a presentation on the dangers of opioids and how to prevent overdoses and what to do in case of an overdose.
Thousands of Louisiana lives are threatened by opioid misuse and abuse every year. According to the Louisiana Department of Health, there were 2.711 reported drug-related deaths in Louisiana during the year of 2021, with 1,384 involving opioids.
