The Beauregard Parish Library puts technology in reach for everyone with computer and connectivity equipment for checkout and access to on-site services like mobile printing, computer workstations, and 24/7 secure WiFi with login.

Equipment Checkout

• Chromebooks – Need a computer? Adult cardholders in good standing (no outstanding overdue items, fines) who have had their card for 3 months can check out a Chromebook. Get things done “faster and easier” with a Chromebook. They come loaded with apps and tools to help you work (or play!).
• Hotspots – No internet? No problem. We have hotspots available to get you connected. Adult cardholders in good standing (no outstanding overdue items, fines) who have had their card for 3 months can check out a hotspot.
• Playaway Launchpads – These tablets come pre-loaded with content. No internet access required. We currently have launchpads for:
  – Ages 3-5
  – Ages 6-9
  – Ages 10-12
  – High School (including American Sign Language and ACT test prep)

Both Chromebooks and hotspots can be checked out for a one-week period.
Launchpads can be checked out for two weeks.

Technology Services

• Computer Stations – Stop by the library and use one of our computer stations to check your email, browse the internet, access cloud storage, create documents, and tons more!
• Accessibility Computer Workstation – Equipped with Freedom Scientific’s TOPAZ screen enlarger (DeRidder branch).
• Print / Copy / Scan – Need to make a copy of something or print a document in color? Drop by the library in DeRidder! See chart below for printing fees.
