Mediterranean Diet for Beginners by Gina Crawford
This book teaches the beginning dieter just how simple it is to get healthy with minimal effort by eating delicious foods. It's a quick start guide to heart healthy eating that can result in super-charged weight loss and unstoppable energy. This diet will help you prevent heart disease and it lowers cholesterol levels and blood pressure along with improved brain funtion and longevity.
To quote the words of Thomas Edison, "The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition."
I like this book because it's simple and easy to read. I like the fact that this diet explains how it is important to slow down and enjoy meals and life with family/friends rather than stressfully running through it, and that it uses fresh vegetables and fruit to get you healthy. If you're tired of trying diets that just don't work or are ready to get your heart and mind and body healthy, then I think you will like this book also.
If Mediterranean Diet for Beginners interests you, feel free to request or check it out. We'll be back next Wednesday with a different Staff Pick.
