To any potential buyer of my cards: My name is Zachary Scott. I have created a series of six greeting cards that highlight Louisiana humor, culture, cusine, etc... Using cartoons and other presentation devices that I put together, I've tried to create light comical, "on the bayou" themes that I thought might be funny. |

I was born and raised in this State so I have a pretty good feel for past and current things that we here find funny (and things outsiders seem to think funny about us). My cards were printed by a professional business in Lake Charles and I'm currently trying to place them at Cajun restaurants and souvenir/gift shops around Southwest Louisiana. From what I've seen, my ideas are fresh and pretty good for an amateur graphic artist. With educational points about the way we talk down here and other cultural things that may be of interest, I think that visitors and locals will find the cards very entertaining and informative. I left the inside of my cards blank for personal comments, but both front and back of each card are full of color and detail. Also, on the back of of each card is printed clearly : Printed Louisiana, U.S.A. I feel a bit let down when I pick up a Louisiana gift/souvenier that says "made in China, India, etc..." I can't believe that I'm the only one that feels this way. Compared to other cards of similar quality, I think that my cards (8" x 10.5") could easily sell for a decent competitive price. I'm a retired LA school teacher. I created my cards from ideas and illustrations that I get from my poetry book about LA Bayous and waterways that I dream of completing one day. I don't think you'll find my sense of humor on the shallow side if you pay attention to the content and detail that I try to give each of the cards. |

| The cute Little girl here has stepped in someone's yucky wad of discarded chewing gum. She's trying to remove this filthy gob with her hand! Discarded chewing gum litter is probably one of the most unmentioned forms of littering. I created my poem -poster (11" x 17") to try to bring more awareness on this subjuect - maybe, even emotionally touching those who are guilty of not properly disposing their "chew". My poster also promotes "Earth Day" (every April 22nd), and National Poetry Month in the US (April), CA (April) and UK (October). | ||

City Sidewalks, busy sidewalks, run all around the town. Spotty sidewalks, splotchy sidewalks, everywhere you look down. In a classroom, at a cinema, I dare you to hand-search your chair! Under your desk top, or cushy seat, yucky gum globs will be there. |
