Beauregard Parish Library TeleConference

CHTC TeleMedicine

The Beauregard Parish Library has been selected as the area training center for the CHTC's TeleMedicine Project. In cooperation with CHTC and the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, the library offers classes for medical professionals as well as for the general public. Classes are offered at the library's DeRidder, Longville and Merryville Branches. For more information, visit these links:

LSU Classes

CHTC and Lake Charles Memorial Hospital have graciously agreed that the teleconference centers are available for other activities anytime there is not a telemedicine class scheduled. The library has contacted area universities to see how students can arrange to use the teleconference equipment for distance learning. LSU has responded with this information about their process:

If you are an LSU student interested in taking a class using one of the library's teleconference centers, begin by contacting Noel Linsey in the LSU education department at (225)578-5455. She will help you through the approval process and give you the necessary information regarding fees, forms, etc.

Other Classes

If you are interested in taking classes offered by teleconference from another school, contact the school and the library to arrange for the use of the teleconference center.

Military Families

Military and their families may request the use of the teleconference center to contact family members. Due to US military security measures, these contacts will be limited to individuals who are within the United States. For information regarding teleconference with military personnel serving in other countries, contact Ft Polk.
