If you are on a library dialup line and you can get to the library's home page but not to other Internet sites, you may have a problem with the proxy settings in your browser.

Help button above, then go to "How do I setup my home computer"
and find the instructions for proxy settings for your version
of Internet Explorer.
This is the general route to proxy settings in Netscape. There may be some minor differences between versions: Edit > Preferences >Advanced >Proxies
All of the databases should be available if you are in one of the library's labs. Every branch has at least one lab computer.
Many of the databases are also available if you are dialed into the library's modem lines.
Some of the databases are also available if you are on the Internet through another Internet Service Provider.
If you have problems accessing a database through the LLN page:
The reason for the differences in access level have to do with the licenses for the various databases. For example, through the LLN project, we have basic access to the Learning Express Programs which includes off site access. The Rosetta Stone module is purchased only by this library and they do not allow off site access other than across our dial up lines.
