The Battle at Hickory Creek
Civil War Reenactment
Camps open to the public at 9:00 a.m. and closes to the public at 4:30
p.m.
Battle between the Blue and the Gray starts at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Battle between the Blue and the Gray starts at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday
Period impressions & demonstrations will be held throughout both days.
Food & beverages are available for purchase on site.
*No ice chests or alcoholic beverages are allowed*
There is a small admission fee for parking and to enter.

Railroad Fest
November 23, 24, 1997, Jr Woman's Arts & Crafts Fair, DeRidder.
(Sat. 9-5, Sun. 10-4). This nostalgic event now occupies four exhibit halls
and overflows on the fairgrounds. All items offered are personally
crafted by the vendor and many are holiday oriented. A variety of food vendors
also participate.
November/December - Grant Fall Harvest Festival - held the first
three Saturdays following Thanksgiving from 8am to 5pm at the Grant
Christmas Tree Farm in Grant Louisiana. Watch authentic old time
syrup making with a mule drawn cane press. Scrumptious homemade
biscuits cooked in wood stoves served with fresh cane syrup, gravy and
sausage are the featured treat. Items handmade by local country
folk are great Christmas gifts. Christmas tree sales begin Thanksgiving
afternoon until Dec 21, seven days each week. Take Hwy. 171 S to Hwy 26 E,
turn left on Hwy 377 to Grant and follow the signs.
