The development and implementation of any policy governing the operations of the Library must be in harmony with the library's mission of providing the people of the parish free and easy access to recorded information within the limits of space and budget. The responsibility of the Library is to satisfy the diverse library needs and interests of the residents of the parish through the selection, acquisition, organization, preservation, borrowing, networking, and accessing, of library material and information, regardless of format, and to provide skilled guidance in the use of the collection.
The Library Board of Control regular sessions meet on the first Wednesday in February, May, August and November. Archives of the past board meetings are available.
