Teen Tuesday: Together We Are The Music
This Friday, June 1st, will mark the beginning of our Summer Reading Program: "Libraries Rock!" After this Friday, the DeRidder Branch's YA room will host a new passive program for teens every week. (A passive program is an ongoing program which you may come and complete independently at any time.) There will be a new passive program on Tuesdays, and they will be available for your enjoyment all week.
To kick off SRP, next week's first passive program is titled "Together We Are The Music." There will be blank musical staffs on the wall, and jumbo musical notes on a table. If you don't know what musical staffs are, they are the five horizontal lines on sheet music that represent what pitch a note is in.
On the blank musical notes, write down your music recommendations, what music means to you, emotions music makes you feel, or the ways music ties you to your heritage or culture. Throughout the summer, Miss Stephanie will be putting the notes you write on the wall to create a melody. Hope to see you in the library!
