During Phase 2, the Beauregard Parish Library is open with limited hours and limited services. Additional details can be seen here. Within those limitations, further closures may become necessary on short notice due to staff shortages. We will update our social media accounts in those instances. Patrons are also welcome to call 337-463-6217 x 0 during the DeRidder branch's open hours for the most recent updates on branch openings. Computer use is limited and by appointment only. Patrons can schedule appointments online here or by calling 337-463-6217 or in-person by asking a library clerk. Appointments are set at 45-minute intervals. No consecutive appointments for 1 person.

During the month of March, we will be highlighting free library resources that help you get a little more "luck" in your life, and it might lead to a hidden pot of gold you didn't know about!
The special topic for today is Genealogy. If you look into your past, maybe your ancestors were royalty. Maybe they had respected military careers. Maybe they were immigrants with a special story that you can only find by digging deeper. Beauregard Parish Library has genealogy resources for you!
If you visit the physical library, most of the genealogy resources we do have will be located under Dewey number 929 in our non-fiction sections. Our print collection of genealogy materials is admittedly small, but that's why we bring our patrons two very lovely digital products that can be used both inside the library and at home.
Digitized from the popular UMI Genealogy and Local History collection on microfiche, this online database is an essential collection of unique material for both genealogical hobbyists and professionals.
Both of the digital resources can be found on the topical resource listing under Genealogy.
