During Phase 2, the Beauregard Parish Library is open with limited hours and limited services. Additional details can be seen here. Within those limitations, further closures may become necessary on short notice due to staff shortages. We will update our social media accounts in those instances. Patrons are also welcome to call 337-463-6217 x 0 during the DeRidder branch's open hours for the most recent updates on branch openings. Computer use is limited and by appointment only. Patrons can schedule appointments online here or by calling 337-463-6217 or in-person by asking a library clerk. Appointments are set at 45-minute intervals. No consecutive appointments for 1 person.

February is the month of love, and all month, we've been showcasing loving our tech! This week, we love the tech of tablets and smartphones!
The coming of smartphones and tablets has made us always connected. It's become rather like carrying a huge part of your brain, filled with the collected knowledge of the world, right by your side. Books, videos, music - it's all in there, ready at nearly any time.
And of course, the library works to make your access to these things better than ever, with products like Freegal for music you can download and play even if you're way away from civilization with no cell phone or wifi connection, Overdrive for ebooks and audiobooks, Zinio for magazines, and dozens of databases for looking up factual information, all made available just by having a Beauregard Library card. Many of these products have apps for your phone or tablet to make them even easier to use.
