It’s that time of year when many people are getting ready to do their taxes. If you are one of these people and want to be sure you have the latest information, check out a new book that the library received this week – EY Tax Guide 2018.
Each year the tax professionals of Ernst & Young prepare their best-selling guide for people who want to do their own federal income taxes. The 2018 edition is fully updated to reflect all of the changes for this year to help you file the most accurate return. It will also help you identify all of the deductions and breaks that can lower your tax burden. It is divided into easy to follow sections that will allow you to find the answers you need quickly. There are even hints to help you avoid common mistakes that people make that could cost you money.
While no book can address every possible issue, and is no substitute for a qualified tax professional, the EY Guide has long been considered one of the most comprehensive and trustworthy resources for taxpayers who want to file their own returns.
Please remember: the library tries to keep a supply of common tax forms for our patrons. We put them out in all of our branches as soon as the IRS sends them to us. We are also able to help you print whatever forms you need from the IRS website. However, we are not able to answer any tax questions or advise you on any tax topic including which form or forms you need.
