Fans of country music superstar Willie Nelson should check out the new book we received this past week celebrating the life of this legend.
Willie Nelson: American Icon by Andrew Vaughan is a big, beautiful book with over one hundred photographs and illustrations detailing Nelson’s amazing life and career. The book tells of his early life and how he began performing and composing music as a very young child. You will see the people and events that influenced him and helped him become such a success. You will follow his career through more than six decades.
Willie has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and received the Kennedy Center Honors, as well as many other musical achievements. He has recorded more than sixty albums and appeared in many television programs and films. But he is known for much more than his music. He is an activist who is involved in many causes including several agriculture and environmental issues, as well as political and social issues. He is also well known for his run-ins with the law and his “outlaw” image. Most will recognize his trademark hair – two long red braids.
