Along Came Trouble by Sheryl Woods
This is the last book in a trilogy about the Spencers of Trinity Harbor. It also reads as a good standalone story. It's a story of second chances including two marriage proposals and a murder mystery of a Virginia politician.
Tucker Spencer, the town sheriff, has his hands full just helping Mary Elizabeth prove she is innocent of murdering her husband...not to mention trying to keep his mind and hands off her in the mean time! His father, King, and sister, Daisy, are not quite so sure she IS innocent, and they both don't trust her because she broke Tucker's heart six years ago.
I enjoyed this light romance/suspense story because it was hard to put down until I had finished it, and it made me chuckle a few times.
If Along Came Trouble interests you, feel free to request or check it out. We'll be back next Thursday with a different Staff Pick.
