This week, we'd like to tell you about the second way of requesting things from the library.
The library uses the Overdrive service to provide our patrons with ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, and videos. It can easily be accessed from either the Topical Resources List (under Ebooks & Audiobooks), or from the Alphabetical Resource List. All you need is a Beauregard Parish Library card in good standing to check something out.
Once you've logged in, if the work you're looking for is not available, you can click the hold button, and when it becomes available, you will receive an e-mail to let you know. You can even recommend books that the Overdrive program will consider adding to its collection.
Next week, we discuss the method of making a request that is the most useful when you don't actually know exactly what it is you want!
