From Sing-Along with the Very Best of Christmas Music:

SACRED:

❄For a beautiful sacred carol try “The Star Carol” sung by Simon & Garfunkel. This soft and gentle song tells the story of the manger scene.

“The Little Drummer Boy” sung by The Harry Simeone Chorale-the song about the boy who had no gift for baby Jesus so he played his drums.

“Silent Night”- a powerful, exquisitely expressive version sung by Mahalia Jackson.

“O Holy Night” sung by the Ray Conniff Singers.

“Do You Hear What I Hear?” sung by Bing Crosby.

“Mary’s Boy Child” sung by Harry Belafonte.

CLASSIC:

❄You can hear the traditional instrumental “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson or on this album try the Rockin’ surfer sound of The Ventures.

“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” sung by Andy Williams.

“Here Comes Santa Claus” sung by Gene Autry.

“White Christmas” sung by Rosemary Clooney. (The library owns the movie.)

“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” sung by Perry Como.

“We Wish You A Merry Christmas” sung by the warbling folk sound of The Weavers.

“It’s A Marshmallow World” sung by Brenda Lee.

“Winter Wonderland” sung by Johnny Mathis.

“Happy Holiday” sung by Steve Lawrence & Edie Gorme.

QUIRKY:

“All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth” -a song where someone is imitating a child who whistles when he sings because he is missing his two front teeth-Spike Jones.

❄Elmo & Patsy’s “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”. The title says it all. I would like to describe the song but I can't, and I shouldn't, so I won't.

“Monster’s Holiday” sung by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and the Crypt Kickers, a song of how the monsters want to rob Santa’s sleigh. But before they can, Santa’s down the chimney and giving them presents like werewolf fangs and bat wings and a new speed shaver for Wofman.

“I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” (scandalous) sung by Molly Bee.
