This week we received some new DVDs that might interest those with young children.
For our Sesame Street fans, we present The Cookie Thief. Cookie Monster has been wrongly accused of stealing world-famous masterpieces in this parody set at the Museum of Modern Cookies. Detective Elmo and the gang try to clear his name while tour guide Prairie Dawn shares stories about the great artists and their works. Discovering clues, following leads, and a little magic help the friends save Cookie Monster and even teach him some important lessons along the way.
For all of the fans of Thomas & Friends, we have Start Your Engines. Thomas, Bertie and Spencer are racing to get to the castle on time. And when Philip shows Gordon how fast he can go, Slow Stephen proves that he can save the day. There are even some bonus sing-along music videos to keep the little ones entertained. So race on down the tracks with Thomas the train and his friends.
If your children enjoy Alvin and the Chipmunks, check out Alvin vs Brittany. This DVD contains seven episodes from the popular series seen on Nickelodeon. Whether Alvin is protecting his “Bro Zone” from The Chipettes, stealing Brittany’s babysitting gig or competing against her in a Royal Contest, these episodes are filled with comedy and music. See who comes out on top!
These and many other DVDs are available for your child’s enjoyment. However, please remember that our collection serves all ages and we have some DVDs that are not suitable for children. So please choose carefully and, as always, if you don’t see what you are looking for just ask any of our staff.
