Sunday School: Stress Relief
The topic of this week's edition of Sunday School with Universal Class will help us successfully navigate this most stressful time of year.
The descriptions below are shortened, but there is more detail at Universal Class.
- Stress Management
- "Stress is one of the most common words used in society today and a phenomenon that each one of us will experience at some point in our life. Stress affects people of all ages, professions and life situations. So what do we do about stress in our lives? How do we deal with it? How do we prevent it? That's where this course comes in. Working through the lessons in this course will help you understand the origins of your stress and provide you with a practical approach for reducing stress in your life and thus, improving your health and emotional well being."
- Relaxation 101
- "In this course we will discuss the art behind relaxation techniques. You will learn a variety of techniques to help you learn how to relax. In today's Western world, stress is a constant companion leading to chronic illness and disease, increased dissatisfaction with one's quality of life, and greater incidence of unhappiness and depression."
- Therapeutic Bathing
- "When you think of a therapeutic bath, it's likely that you envision some steaming hot water and your favorite scented bath oil or bubblesand that's about it. Next time to you hop in the tub, benefit from the experience of centuries of therapeutic bathers. That's right--therapeutic bathing has its place in just about every ancient culture: the Romans, the Greeks, the Chinese, the Egyptians and the Middle East have all made contributions to the practice of bathing for improved health and
well-being. Do you know that there's an ideal temperature range for soaking achy muscles--and that it's different than the ideal temperature for absorbing the healing power of herbs? That's just a glimpse of what awaits you when you enroll in this in-depth course."
