The DeRidder Branch of the Beauregard Parish Library is now open Monday through Wednesday and Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Thursday between 9:00 AM and 7:30 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Details of our Phase 3 operations can be seen here. We are working on hurricane clean-up and remediation to return service to our rural locations as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Today, let's talk about image resizing.
Sometimes, you just want to make that picture bigger (or smaller). We can do that with the Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP).
The easiest way to do this is to right-click on the image you want to resize and select open with Gnu Image Maniupulation Program. When GIMP opens, go to image on the menu; from there, select scale image. You can scale your image here.
Using inches is probably the easiest way for us humans to do it. Just remember to unlink the chain next to the x and y image axis so that you can change width and height idependently of each other.
It may sound complicated at first but it is actually really easy, especially once you practice with it a little bit. So, come out to the library today and get working on those images!
