New to the Beauregard Parish Library’s collection this week is the book Gardening for the Birds: How to Create a Bird-Friendly Backyard by George Adams. Even if you already have a bird feeder in your yard, this book will show you how to use native plants and creative arrangement techniques to attract a variety of species. It is full of beautiful color photographs of plants and birds of all types. It contains detailed instructions for selecting, planting, and arranging plants to best attract birds. There is even an illustrated identification guide to help you discover what new birds are now making their homes in your yard.
Check out this informative and beautiful book, and many others on gardening, bird watching, and every other imaginable hobby, in the Library’s extensive non-fiction section.
