During Phase 2, the Beauregard Parish Library is open with limited hours and limited services. Additional details can be seen here. Within those limitations, further closures may become necessary on short notice due to staff shortages. We will update our social media accounts in those instances. Patrons are also welcome to call 337-463-6217 x 0 during the DeRidder branch's open hours for the most recent updates on branch openings. Computer use is limited and by appointment only. Patrons can schedule appointments online here or by calling 337-463-6217 or in-person by asking a library clerk. Appointments are set at 45-minute intervals. No consecutive appointments for 1 person.

Welcome to our new Homepage and the beginning of a modernization effort to bring all of our web resources up to date. Not only a new look, this is the start of a total effort to communicate through our website.
You can expect updates daily so be sure to put us in your list of daily Internet stops.
You might have noticed this isn't the first post. That is because we have been testing and training on it for a bit. It is also because we are importing our past content into this new system instead of wiping out the past and making a clean start. The old 'system news' has already been imported as articles since there is no longer a link to it from this page. All of the other content we used to have is either going to get cleaned up and redesigned or the information imported into articles in this bloglike system. This is not the end, it is the beginning of the project.
We have tried to test the new look on a variety of browsers on an assortment of operating systems and devices. These should work:
* Some of our fancy 'look' breaks but all of the content correctly displays on the version shown. Any version from the last year or two should be perfect though. The only potential problem is IE 8 is the last version supported for Windows XP SP3; while it works it isn't pretty and some of the clickable items aren't quite as obvious since they do not change color. You should be completing your migration plan anyway since security fixes for Windows XP SP3 end April 8, 2014. Firefox is still supported however so you can always install that.
If a problem has made it past our testing we of course want to know. Click the Feedback link at the bottom of the page and tell us about your hardware and software platform.
